The turn of events follows a decision by a division bench of the Islamabad High Court, led by Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri, who granted bail to Fawad Chaudhry on April 1. The bail pertains to a case filed against him by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) concerning land in Jhelum.
During the court proceedings, Fawad Chaudhry’s counsel, Qaiser Imam, presented arguments on his behalf. The case revolves around allegations related to property in Jhelum, which led to Fawad Chaudhry’s detention at Adiala Jail on judicial remand.
