May 9 Standoff: No Reconciliation Without Public Apology

In a recent post on ‘X’, senior anchor Kamran Khan reported that sources within the establishment have confirmed that reconciliation with the perpetrators of the May 9 violence is not on the table unless they publicly apologise

“Sources in the establishment have confirmed that NO reconciliation will be done with any of the disruptive forces who are advancing the agenda of foreign players. Reconciliation is unthinkable with the planners, abettors, facilitators and perpetrators of 9th May unless; they condemn their act publicly, accept full responsibility of the heinous act, render public apology and give solemn commitment that such outrageous behaviour will never be repeated,” wrote Shahid in his tweet.

He continued by adding, “Sources have also informed that NO reconciliation is in the offing with the elements who have polarised and divided the country along multiple lines to facilitate foreign agendas. Likewise, there will be NO reconciliation with those who actively lobby against the state to pursue their narrow vested interests. The message is loud and clear.”

Separately, former Prime Minister Imran Khan disclosed on Saturday that certain PTI leaders maintained communication with the establishment. Addressing reporters at Adiala Jail following the Al-Qadir Trust case hearing, Mr Khan hinted at his willingness to engage in dialogue with various stakeholders for the betterment of the nation.
