WEB DESK: Actor and singer Mehwish Hayat has been creating waves on social media since landing a leading role in the Eid movie “Daghabaaz Dil” and collaborating with renowned Bollywood rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh. Despite her flourishing career, the “Ms Marvel” actor remains single, a fact she discussed candidly in an interview with Suhail Warraich.
Explaining the reasons behind her single status, Mehwish revealed, “People are intimidated by me! Maybe my personality makes them feel flustered or insecure. I don’t intentionally scare anyone away, but it’s true that people think twice before approaching me, which is probably a good thing.”
While Mehwish emphasised that looks are not a priority for her in a potential partner, she stressed the importance of personality. “He should be kind, cultured, and have a sense of humor. I’m serious by nature, so I need someone who can balance that out,” she explained.
In a society that often places a premium on physical appearance, Mehwish reiterated, “Skin color and looks don’t matter. What’s important is the beauty of the heart and soul.”
Despite her busy schedule, Mehwish expressed a desire for romance in a partner, admitting, “I am practical and realistic, so I need someone who can bring a little romance into my life.”

In a lighthearted moment, Mehwish Hayat confessed that her biggest crush has always been Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio, jokingly inviting him to make an offer if he’s interested.
However, Mehwish stressed that marriage is a serious commitment for her, requiring careful consideration. “Marriage is a big responsibility, not just between two individuals but between two families,” she stated.
As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, Mehwish acknowledged that finding a partner who supports her career ambitions is crucial. “If I find someone who adds value to my life and supports my goals, then I can consider marriage,” she said.
Asserting her independence, Mehwish underscored that she is currently focused on her career and doesn’t feel the need for a partner. “I am very independent, and if I do get married, either my marriage or my career would have to suffer,” she concluded.
With her career on the rise, Mehwish remains content to pour her energy into her profession, with no immediate plans to settle down.
