WEB DESK: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has applied for permission to organise a public rally at Lahore’s Shalimar Chowk on April 19.
According to media reports, Mian Shahzad Farooq, an independent candidate supported by PTI from NA-119, submitted the application to the deputy commissioner of Lahore.
Addressing the media, Farooq highlighted the significance of the upcoming rally, terming it a historic event where senior party leaders would address the audience. Expressing optimism, he voiced confidence in PTI’s ability to secure victory in the by-election scheduled for April 21.

“We are determined to overturn the results declared on Form-47,” Farooq asserted, referring to the election outcome announced on February 9, a day following the general elections, which saw Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidates emerge victorious.
